Identify a topic to research and set objectives. The Research topic should be relevant for nursing. Having selected a topic and set objectives the students must perform a literature review, analyse the information and consider how it could be applied to Nursing Practice.
This assessment task provides the opportunity to demonstrate studentsâ understanding of the different research philosophies and methodologies covered throughout the unit. Students are required to provide a summary of the review at the end to demonstrate a well-developed understanding of the validity and reliability/trustworthiness of the research study. Students will also demonstrate how evidence-based information can be implemented into contemporary Australian Nursing practice.
Students must be able to demonstrate that they possess appropriate understanding of criteria outlined as essential knowledge in the elements and performance criteria related to this unit.
1.1) Research Topic

Nursing student/staff understanding about Stress management and its effect on safe nursing practices
Student opinion on placement duration for nursing education.

For the research topic selected, identify and access credible sources of data and evidence. Student should get minimum 2 documents or evidence sources for this task. List the data/evidence reviewed.

Compare and contrast the information available in the different sources of evidences (listed above) and mention understanding of the evidences reviewed. (Hint: read the information in the resources and compare the information given in them. Write what you understood from the information reviewed. Use the questions below to help you do the task)

4) Task 4: Application to Nursing Practice
Having performed tasks 1, 2 and 3, consider how the data reviewed could be applied to Nursing Practice.
